Rob specializes in real estate transactions and has more than 25 years of intensive experience in the field. He represents buyers and sellers of commercial and multifamily properties, lenders and borrowers in real estate loan transactions, promoters, joint venture partners, and investors in real estate partnerships and syndications. He has expertise in every phase of a real estate development project, from due diligence and analysis of environmental risks to the drafting and negotiation of brokerage agreements, architect’s agreements, construction contracts, engineering contracts, construction management agreements, property management agreements, and commercial leases. Many of his clients are major entertainment and media companies for whom he has negotiated high profile facility and venue agreements. He is in the forefront of the leasing field and has an active practice negotiating office, retail and industrial leases for real estate and corporate clients, chain retailers, and professional service firms throughout the United States. He has broad experience handling workouts, restructurings, and terminations of complex real estate contracts and is frequently selected by his peers as arbitrator and expert witness in disputes under commercial leases. Rob was named “Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” in 2006 by the Century City Bar Association.
